The Association for Geographic Information (AGI) are a 'Friends
of UNIGIS' organisation and have been a strong supporter of our
activities in a number of ways in recent years.
A major element of their
support is their offer of a special annual membership arrangement
for our students. This year the AGI has offered individual AGI
membership to UNIGIS students for £75 plus VAT. The offer includes
six elements, which (with their normal costs) are:
1. One year's membership
2. Copy of AGI source book for GIS 2004 CDROM (usually £25.00
for members but covered by the cost of membership)
3. Copy of GeoSolutions 2003 conference proceedings CD (usually
£35.00 for members but covered by the cost of membership)
4. A password to the AGI members' area on the AGI website to access
AGI papers
5. All other normal AGI individual membership benefits
6. Beyond Chorley: Current Geographic Information Issues
by Ian Heywood (usually £9.95 for members, but covered by
the cost of membership)
The AGI offer represents a very
good cost saving and is an excellent deal for our students. Details
for taking up this offer can be found on the Intake page and also
be contacting the UNIGIS UK office.
