The Intergraph Corporation is a long-term and greatly valued
supporter of the UNIGIS educational programme.
During the early Nineties, Intergraph Mapping
and Geospatial Solutions provided informal support by providing
guest speakers at our meetings and participating in our Workshops.
In 1998 Intergraph became a participant in our
'Friends of UNIGIS' programme and now has a Memoradum of Understanding
with UNIGIS that allows us to distribute copies of GeoMedia Pro
to UNIGIS students, GeoMedia Pro being the professional level
version of Intergraph's core GIS product.
During 2001-2002, our relationship with Intergraph
was further strengthened by Intergraph's providing an Internship
for one of our students. A student from the Hungarian UNIGIS programme
spent six months at Intergraph's European Headquarters in the
Netherlands developing tutorials based on GeoMedia Pro and GeoMedia
WebMap.
Intergraph and UNIGIS have committed themselves
to continuing to develop high quality tutorials based on Intergraph's
technologies for our students. We have also agreed that for our
September 2004 intake we would adopt the GeoMedia GRID product
as a platform for our raster GIS tutorials. Details of GeoMedia
GRID can be found at:

the success of the UNIGIS programme.
