CIS2E 07
3-12 Dec 2007
CIS2E 2007 is the third conference of the CISSE (Computer, Information and Systems Sciences and Engineering) series of e-conferences organised by the International Joint Conferences on Computer, Information, and Systems Sciences, and Engineering. It provides a virtual forum for presentation and discussion of the state-of the-art research on computers, information and systems sciences and engineering.

Geos 2007
29-30 Nov 2007, Centro de Investigacion en Computacion, Mexico City, Mexico
A forum for the exchange of state-of-the-art research results in the areas of modeling and processing of geospatial semantics. Geospatial semantics play an important role for next-generation spatial databases and geographic information systems, as well as specialized geospatial web services. This conference will bring together researchers whose expertise will address such issues as: * Theories for geospatial semantic information * Formal representations for geospatial data * Models and languages for geoontologies * Alignment and integration of geoontologies * Integration of semantics into spatial query processing * Similarity comparisons of spatial datasets * Ontology-based spatial information retrieval * Ontology-driven GIS * Geospatial Semantic Web * Multicultural aspects of spatial knowledge.

The first call for papers is for submission by 15 June 2007.

UNIGIS International Meeting
09-11 Nov 2007, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Map Africa
29-30 Oct 2007, The Southern Sun Cape Sun hotel, Cape Town, SA

Intergraph 2007

Nashville, Music City Tennessee, USA.

GeoTec Event 2007
14-17 May 2007, Calgary Telus Convention Centre, Alberta, Canada

The declarative conference theme, “Visualization Energizes Action,” remarks on the effect of geospatial technology's adoption in an organization. "Visualization" highlights a planned 3-D Symposium, and speaks to the overall role of geospatial technologies as a tool for decision support. "Energizes" provides an active voice to the theme and relates to the prominent energy sector in Calgary that will be highlighted in the program. It also relates to the energizing effect of a well-run conference. The right actions should result from well-represented data, and it is our hope that all attendees take away materials and ideas from the event that result in action within your own organization.
