Status of UK qualifications

The Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate MSc offered by distance learning through this programme of study have the same status as conventionally taught courses.

In the UK, each candidate is registered as a postgraduate student at one of the three participating universities (University of Huddersfield, the Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Salford) and upon successful completion will receive a certificate awarded by the university of their registration.

Status of non-UK qualifications

The non-UK institutions license the UNIGIS teaching materials and supplement them with their own local materials. Students who register with an overseas institution will become students of that institution and upon completion will receive a qualification validated by their institution of registration.

The awards made by the UK universities are entirely separate from the awards which may be made by other institutions using the course material licensed under the UNIGIS network.
